This region offers extraordinary hiking along miles of empty beach, where it is usually beautiful and sunny and either mild or warm. You can walk for miles amid extraordinary beauty, and better still you can do so with your dogs while they run and explore their surroundings off-leash. For the more inveterate hikers among you, you can take steep walks up the foothills located close to the beach or explore the small estuaries east of town.
